UI/UX Designer

Position:
UI/UX Designer
Location:
Netherlands
Type:
Full-Time, Onsite

About the role

As a UI/UX Designer at Brandora you will design the products and sites the brand work eventually has to live in. That means structure before surface: flows, states and edge cases first, then the interface that makes them feel obvious. This is a role for someone who enjoys the empty state as much as the hero.

What you'll do every day

You will map flows, prototype the parts that are arguable, and design interfaces inside a system rather than page by page. You will work with the brand team so the product still looks like the brand, and with developers so what you hand over can be built without a negotiation. You will also test things with real people often enough to keep yourself honest.

Responsibilities

  • Map user flows and design the states, not only the happy path.
  • Build and maintain component libraries in Figma.
  • Prototype interactions well enough to test them.
  • Design responsive interfaces from 320px upward.
  • Work with developers through implementation, not up to it.
  • Run lightweight usability testing and act on what it says.

Qualifications

  • A portfolio showing flows and systems, not just screens.
  • Advanced Figma, including components, variants and auto-layout.
  • Practical accessibility knowledge -- contrast, focus, semantics.
  • Experience designing responsively for real content.
  • Comfort collaborating with engineers throughout a build.

Who we're looking for

Someone who reaches for the loading state and the error state before the hero. You think in systems, you name your layers, you can explain a decision in terms of the user's task, and you would rather ask five people than argue for an hour.

Skills and expertise

Interaction design, information architecture, design systems, prototyping, responsive layout, accessibility and usability testing. Figma daily; some familiarity with HTML and CSS is welcome.

Why join us

Brandora is small enough that your work is visible and structured enough that it ships. You will see projects from the first conversation to the launch rather than inheriting a brief and handing off a file. We work across industries on purpose, we protect focus time, and we would rather you left at six having done something good than stayed until nine doing something adequate. Reviews are quarterly, salary bands are written down, and there is a real budget for the conference or the course you keep meaning to go to.
