Social Media Manager

About the role
As a Social Media Manager at Brandora you will own the editorial line and the community behind it. You decide what a brand talks about, in what order, in whose voice -- and you are the person replying when it goes well and when it does not. This is a role for someone with judgement as well as ideas.
What you'll do every day
You will plan calendars, brief and sometimes make the work, publish it and stay in the replies. You will read the numbers weekly and let them change next month's plan. And you will keep the escalation rules current, because the days that matter are the ones nobody scheduled.
Responsibilities
- Own the editorial calendar and the voice across every platform.
- Brief creators and designers, and produce quick-turnaround work yourself.
- Run community management, moderation and escalation.
- Report on saves, replies and returning readers -- not only on reach.
- Spot and act on the moments a brand should join, and the ones it should not.
- Keep a written crisis plan that is actually up to date.
Qualifications
- Experience running social for a brand with something to lose.
- Excellent writing in a voice that is not your own.
- Real community management experience, including difficult threads.
- Comfort with scheduling, listening and analytics tooling.
- Good judgement under time pressure.
Who we're looking for
Someone with taste and a long fuse. You know which trend is worth joining and which one will look embarrassing by Thursday, you write quickly in someone else's voice, and you can stay calm and human in a thread that has stopped being either.
Skills and expertise
Editorial planning, platform-native writing, community management, social analytics, light production and crisis handling.
Why join us
Brandora is small enough that your work is visible and structured enough that it ships. You will see projects from the first conversation to the launch rather than inheriting a brief and handing off a file. We work across industries on purpose, we protect focus time, and we would rather you left at six having done something good than stayed until nine doing something adequate. Reviews are quarterly, salary bands are written down, and there is a real budget for the conference or the course you keep meaning to go to.
