SEO Analyst

About the role
As an SEO Analyst at Brandora you will work out what people are actually looking for and make sure our clients are the best answer. That is part technical -- crawlability, structure, performance -- and part editorial, because the pages still have to be worth reading. This is a role for someone who can hold both halves without letting either win.
What you'll do every day
You will audit sites, prioritise the fixes that will actually move something, research intent rather than volume, and brief writers with a real understanding of what a page has to do. You will work with the web team on structure and speed, and report on what changed and why -- including the times an algorithm update did it for you.
Responsibilities
- Run technical audits and turn them into a prioritised, costed plan.
- Research search intent and build content plans from it.
- Brief writers and editors with the context a page needs.
- Work with developers on structure, schema, indexation and performance.
- Monitor rankings, traffic and conversions, and explain movement honestly.
- Keep up with a field that changes faster than its documentation.
Qualifications
- Hands-on SEO experience across technical and content work.
- Fluency with Search Console, a crawler and an analytics platform.
- A working understanding of HTML, structured data and page performance.
- The ability to write a brief a writer can actually use.
- Scepticism about correlation, which this field runs on.
Who we're looking for
Someone who is interested in the reader as well as the crawler. You can tell a client that the fix is a slow one, you can spot when a ranking change had nothing to do with your work, and you would rather build ten pages that deserve to rank than a hundred that do not.
Skills and expertise
Technical SEO, intent research, information architecture, structured data, Core Web Vitals, analytics and reporting. Comfort with a spreadsheet and with a crawl report.
Why join us
Brandora is small enough that your work is visible and structured enough that it ships. You will see projects from the first conversation to the launch rather than inheriting a brief and handing off a file. We work across industries on purpose, we protect focus time, and we would rather you left at six having done something good than stayed until nine doing something adequate. Reviews are quarterly, salary bands are written down, and there is a real budget for the conference or the course you keep meaning to go to.
